screen
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade


Screen is good to use for big upgrades if you&#039;re logged in locally via X or remotely via ssh.  If you lose your session, you can just log back in and reattach to it.

Perhaps I&#039;m just too old school to use aptitude ;)</description>
